  OlehPhone Becomes BWTel

More than the Name has Changed

Five years ago, Capalon Communications first entered the business of providing digital telephone service, with a service we named OlehPhone. We have made great strides since then, and offer a service that is stable, feature-rich and technically excellent. Our cloud-based PBX solution provides special benefits to small and medium businesses, and we continue to add features to better serve them.

In 2007, Capalon joined forces with the Baltimore-Washington Telephone Company. Established in 1992, BWTel is a regulated telecommunications carrier, registered with both the State of Maryland and the FCC. Internet Phone companies can stake a claim by simply hanging out a shingle; BWTel traversed the logistical and legal hurdles to become a public utility.

Moving our voice operations to BWTel does not merely change the name -- it provides the additional assurance that the federal and state government monitor our operations. Few, if any, other cloud-based PBX providers are regulated telephone companies, and leave consumers largely outside government safeguards a century in the making.

While we will keep the name OlehPhone for residential offerings, we will now operate our services under the BWTel name, and that name will appear (rather than Capalon) on your credit card statement as well. The web sites will shortly be modified to reflect these changes.

We hope you'll take this opportunity to refer friends and business associates to BWTel. They will notice what you have seen over the past years of growth: that "The Difference is Black and White."
